Website terms
The ground rules for using this website. They don't cover the IT support we provide to clients, which is done under its own written agreement.
Who these terms are between
This website is run by Amantek. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use the site. You can reach us at info@amantek.co.uk.
What the site is for
It tells you who we are and what we do, and gives you a way to get in touch. What’s written here is general information. It isn’t a quote, a proposal or an offer, and nothing on the site creates a contract between you and us. If we do work together, the details, including price, scope and service levels, will be in a separate written agreement.
Accuracy
We try to keep the site correct and current, but IT changes quickly and we can’t promise every detail is up to date or error-free. Where we say we can often fix something “the same day”, that’s our aim, not a guarantee. Timings depend on the problem, the equipment and our availability. Likewise, our security and compliance support (including help with GDPR and KCSIE) is practical assistance, not legal advice or a certification. Check your own legal obligations with a qualified adviser if you need to be sure.
Using the site properly
Please don’t:
- use the site in a way that’s unlawful, or that harms or disrupts it or other people’s use of it;
- try to get into parts of the site, or the systems behind it, that you’re not meant to reach;
- send us anything through the forms that is abusive, misleading, or contains malicious code;
- scrape or copy large parts of the site automatically without asking first.
What we own
The text, design, logo and code of this site belong to us or are used with permission. You’re welcome to view the pages, print them for your own use, and link to us. Please don’t copy or republish our content or branding without our written agreement. Some photographs on the site are licensed from photographers through Unsplash and remain theirs under that licence.
Links to other sites
We occasionally link out to other websites, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for what’s on them or how they handle your data.
Our responsibility to you
The site is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will always be available or free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on what’s on it, including any loss of profit, data or business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for fraudulent misrepresentation. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Your information
What we do with the details you send us is explained in our privacy policy, and what the site does and doesn’t store in your browser is in our cookie policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and using the site after that means you accept the updated version.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute about them would be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
